Sally Idehen is currently a graduate student of English-Speaking Cultures at the University of Bremen. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Benin, Nigeria. Her research interests include sociolinguistics, language use in discourse, postcolonial Englishes and language in the media. She is currently working on the representation of gender and race in postcolonial texts.

Leandra Thiele is a Master’s student of the M.A. English-Speaking Cultures: Language, Text, Media program at the University of Bremen where she has also completed her Bachelor’s degree. She focuses on Multimodality with a special interest in (Critical) Discourse Analysis as well as film and TV series, amongst other multimodal artifacts.

Hande Akin is a student of the M.A. English-Speaking Cultures: Language, Text, Media program at the University of Bremen. Since she has completed her bachelor´s degree in English Language Teaching, her main area of research is the application of Multimodality to teaching. She is also interested in the interaction of language, image and other semiotic modes in online advertising.

Culture and the Secret Behind the Success of Film Adaptations by Hayam Chariai
Hayam Chariai is Moroccan and currently studying her master's degree at Bremen University in the English Speaking Cultures: Text and Media program. Her research interests are in Cultural Studies, Literature, Gender and Feminism, and Tourism Studies. She has also worked as a teacher of English for one year in Al Irfane private school in Morocco.

Influence of Bangla Words and Lexical Innovation of Bangla Speaking People on English by Mir Sabbir Hasan
Mir Sabbir Hasan is currently studying his masters in English Speaking Cultures at the University of Bremen. His areas of interest are multimodal linguistics, morphology, language & postcolonialism, as well as corpus linguistics. He worked previously worked as a researcher in research projects regarding corpus with Google Translate and What3words.

Liminality and the Depiction of "The Borderlands" in Selena by Corina Wieser-Cox
Born and raised in Brownsville Texas USA, Corina is a graduate student at Bremen Universität. She received her undergrad degree from Troy University in English Literature and Creative Writing. She now studies in the English-Speaking Cultures M.A. program with a focus on postcolonial and queer theory and writes short stories and poetry. She has recently published two poems in literary journals and is working on a collection of short stories and poetry concerning the narratives of unauthorized immigrants in the United States.

Charting the Speaker: Relatedness of Impersonal Nouns by Victoria Zoogah
Victoria Zoogah is currently studying her MA in English Speaking- Cultures at the University of Bremen. She studied BA English Language Education at the University of Education, Winneba, Ghana. Her first research work was on Conflict between Traditional and Western Cultures: A study of Ama Atta Aidoo´s Dilemma of a Ghost and Wole Soyinka´s Death and
the King´s Horseman. Having taught in the Senior High School in Ghana, she seeks to focus her future research on Teaching English as a subject of study: Rethinking the curriculum development process for the different levels of learners in Ghana.

Ekaterina Buchminskaia is a master student of English-speaking cultures at the University of Bremen, Germany. She has obtained her bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Methods of teaching foreign languages in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Her main
research interests are language education and English corpus linguistics.

Xuezhu Zhao is a master student of English-speaking cultures at the University of Bremen, Germany. Prior to that, she has obtained her bachelor's degree in English-Chinese Translation and Interpretation in Liaoning, China. Her main research interests include language teaching and English corpus linguistics.
